Supporting Cycling NZ’s Criterium National Championships

We were thrilled to offer our support to Cycling New Zealand and the racers of the Criterium National Championships held in Christchurch.

We loaned a signwritten OCTAVIA RS to feature at the race and watched as the racers zoomed through Christchurch’s CBD as spectators cheered on. The race was able to safely take place during Traffic Light Orange in mid-January, and although the country is currently in Traffic Light Red, we’re looking forward to the events of the future.

Cycling is in ŠKODA’s DNA, so it was natural when ŠKODA NZ announced their partnership with Cycling NZ to support the Cycling New Zealand School Championships. This organisation was created in part to promote the enjoyment, participation, and competition on bicycles for all school-age children (Y7 – Y13) in New Zealand and to create and govern competitive cycling opportunities for school age participants.

On a local level, we’re spoiled to have so many incredible competitive races, events, and community projects at our fingertips. Christchurch is known for incredible cycling races like Le Race and are our stone’s throw away from intense events like Coast to Coast. We’re excited to be a part of such a vibrant community and look forward to the partnership opportunities of the future.
